The Kappa House on Prospect Capital Campaign

A $500,000 goal, more than 300 donors and $475,000 raised for the house at 265 Prospect.

How the Kappa House on Prospect Campaign Came Together

The Beta Upsilon House Board announced the Kappa House on Prospect Capital Campaign in February 2019, the year the house turned 80. The goal was $500,000: enough to make urgent repairs, retire debt and rebuild a reserve for the future. The campaign closed in 2023 with $475,000 in donations and pledges.

The People Behind the Kappa House on Prospect Campaign

The campaign was run by volunteers. The Campaign Committee wrote the updates, thanked donors and planned the 2022 celebration. The House Board set the priorities and managed the work. More than 100 donors joined the Perk Club with gifts of $1,000 or more, and the Morgantown and Charleston Alumnae Associations gave as Perk Club members too.

“I was happy to be able to contribute to this worthwhile project. The leadership skills that I gained while a Kappa have been invaluable to me throughout my life.”— Susan Brown Hardesty ’64

The campaign is over, but the house still needs support. Please keep 265 Prospect on your list of annual gifts.
